What are we doing???

I thought it would be fun to put some pictures up of some of the fun things we do.

We are using Christian Kids Explore Chemistry and were supposed to make a model of an atom yesterday. Well mom was not prepared so we skipped chemistry. We live out in the country and the small town close by does not have a movie thearter or Walmart, so I could not easily get the styrofoam balls we needed. Well this morning I was thinking I don't want the boys to skip again how can I make this work. Ah the handy dandy craft stash, let's see clay and the colors I need great. Ah oh I have been forgetting to pick up toothpicks how can we get these to stick together? Oh look here craft wire, that will work. Straws anyone? We need them for the electrons, no used up, oh K let's see match sticks will work (clip the ends off first.) Ok things to remember #1 always keep a good stash of craft supplies and #2 don't be afraid to think outside the box you could create an atom. The best thing about the way we did this is I won't have two lithium atoms floating around the house, they can be taken apart and the materials used for? Who knows I'm sure we will come up with something.
