My name is Joyce Wheeler. I live in Luray TN with my husband and 3 blessings. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL where I lived until August 28, 2005. I was previously married to the man of my children who went to be with the Lord February 20, 2004. I met my new husband on a Christian singles board in April 2005, and we married September 4, 2005. I know it was quick, but we know God intended for us to be together and living 10 hours apart was hard.

I love the outdoors and my home in West Tennessee has plenty of it. I love to sit on my porch, which is raised up allowing me a great view of the Lord's creations. It's a great place to pray and meditate, when it's warm anyway.

I homeschooled my children for 7 years, and put them into school when we moved to TN. I started selling and buying used curriculum while I was homeschooling my children, selling items I knew I wouldn't use and buying what I needed for the next year. My first husband became disabled in 2001 and I started taking in used curriculum on consignment for others and selling on the internet. I also would locate used items for others. Altogether I've been buying and selling used curriculum for 5 years. In Chicago I was in a leadership position with my homeschool support group for 2 years, headed our enrichment program for 2 years and I'm a certified Kindermusik instructor in my 3rd year.

As of 2007 my sons ages ten and eight have come back home to be schooled, it's great to have them back. They were in school for two years and said they didn't care to be around some of the other kids at school. I also am homeschooling myself to a degree, I'm enrolled in an online college and am studying for an associates in business.

On June 25, 2009 I submitted my last assignment for school, because I have done this online I wanted to find out when I would recieve my actual diploma. As I read about the online graduation and recieving my diploma I read that all student with a GPA of 3.7 - 3.75 would be graduating with honors and recieve a rope. That was me, my final GPA is 3.48. I couldn't believe me with a 8th grade education (on paper) was graduating with honors, I cried. However I can not say I achieved this by myself many days I walked out on to my front porch to consult my father for help and he gave to me allowing me to achieve what he created me to achieve. If this can be done in me and can be done in others everyone is capable of learning, only some in different ways. Because my motto is never stop learning I will continue to read in the area of business and the variety of topics which it encompesses until I get this student loan paid off. After that I'm sure if I want to continue in business or move to education either way I'm not done with school. I think I will become a professional student.

My oldest (girl) just graduated hight school in May and we registered her at the local college last week as a major in history. She wants to be a high history teacher and will transfer to a more accredited college after two years locally.

I love God, books, helping others, kids, animals, nature and exercising. My goal is to be the person God has created me to be, and help children to grow to be the same. Every child deserves the chance to be all they can be and to accomplish what God has planned for them, I want to help them do that along with helping their adult partners help them.
